El Sauzal
El Sauzal (which means willow tree in Spanish) is a picturesque village on the green north coast of Tenerife. It is situated in the heart of the wine growing area of Tacoronte between Santa Cruz the capital and Puerto de la Cruz.

The village has a theatre, a cultural centre with internet access (temporary membership is available for Casa Flora guests), a sports centre, parks, an art gallery, wine and honey museum, brewery, a unique 16th century church with a lively 'plaza' square. There is a small daily market and a supermarket, several shops, banks, bars, restaurants, bodegas.

Tenerife has an excellent transport system. Car hire is available from either Los Rodeos (the north airport) or Reina Sofia (the airport in the south of the island).
There are several interesting beaches close by, Santa Cruz and Puerto de la Cruz have large salt water swimming pool complexes with sun bathing areas.
